The American Scholar is the venerable but lively quarterly magazine of public affairs, literature, science, history, and culture published by the Phi Beta Kappa Society since 1932. The American Scholar iPad and iPhone editions offer access to The Daily Scholar, our exclusive digital content that is updated each weekday. The iPad edition features access to single copies and subscriptions to our magazine. Single issues are available for prices ranging between $4.99 and $3.99. A subscription option is available for $17.99. The subscription lasts for one year, during which the subscriber will receive 4 new issues, and it includes access to all back issues available within The American Scholar iPad application. Payment for subscriptions and single issues will be charged to the subscriber's iTunes Account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the one-year term. The account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period for $19.99. Subscriptions and auto-renewal settings can be managed by the user within the user's Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period.
